"Gikan sa ni-laban" (From those who fought) is the first panel the artist's triptych piece entitled, "Gikan sa Iyang Tala-Adlawan" (From Her Diary). The triptych visually showcases the artist's feelings and thoughts written from her diary entries. This first panel is a visual interpretation of the artist's feeling of conflict and shame with her queerness. Despite not being able to talk about it, she has thought about it a lot.
ARTIST STATEMENT
Isis Mata Barillo, also known as ISDABOOBA on Instagram, is a Visual Artist from Cebu City. She is pursuing a certificate in Fine Arts - Studio Arts at the University of the Philippines Cebu (UPC), honing her knowledge and skills as a traditional artist. With her education, Isis aims to venture into the field of Visual Art, utilizing organic materials such as coffee, charcoal, and cocoa.

If you are outside Cebu City, shipping costs will be added to the winning bid.
